We'll miss you, Duke

I'm not sure when Earth Day will catch on as a holiday when large masses of people actually do something useful for our lovely planet, if ever. I'm just glad Mud Season is over, baseball is being played, and it's finally, actually, certainly, groundhog-be-damned SPRING.

Sadly, we lost our best frog buddy, Duke.
He was a gregarious frog, and quite curious. He liked to follow the action in the living room as best he could. He also liked to contort himself into funny positions to rest and sleep. However, "upside down" is not a good position for any aquatic life, and a quick poke confirmed the morbid truth.

You amused me greatly, Dukey. There will never be another like you. But maybe Sandy will get a new tank-mate soon. Having a tank with 2 frogs and a snail has been a learning process, and I resolve to keep my frogs in better health in 2010.

Hope spr… hops eternal.

Gregarious? Did he really make sound or just hang in the tank? I am sorry for your loss, but think the Earth is doing just fine and if we would focus on making new cars and building factories, all would be right with the world.
